The Parents' Association is the structure through which parents of pupils in the school can work together with the Principal, staff & Board of Management for the best possible education opportunities for their children. The Parents' Association is affiliated with the National Parents Council (NPC) Primary and works with the principal, staff and representatives from the Board of Management to build an effective partnership between home and school.

While all parents are automatically members of the Parents' Association, not all can be involved in the day to day running of the Association. It is for this reason that parents form a committee at the Annual General Meeting. The committee is made up 12 to 15 parents and the Executive positions are filled by election of the committee. The Parents' Association committee meet about twice each term in the school & discuss upcoming school events, fundraisers, feedback to school policies/planning etc
The Parents Association are a very active part of our school community. Their visits with Christmas treats at Christmas holidays & their annual Easter raffle are much anticipated each year. Through their fundraising the Parents Association help subsidise the cost of swimming instructors for swimming lessons, cover the cost of transport for school tours, provide refreshments for school open days, First Communion & Confirmations, help organise speakers for parents on relevant topics of interest etc.
The Parents Association welcomes any comments, news or views you may have.
The Parents Association is affiliated to the National Parents Council.
